The principle purpose of this book is to provide an accurate, yet easy means of identifying the 438 native orchids of south-west Western Australia. This fourth edition has an extended key to the genera and includes some 70 new species, including most hybrids.
The information contains a glossary, bibliography and indexes to the scientific and common names. There is an excellent description of each orchid in which the distinctive features of each species and information on distribution, habitat, flowering period and the common name is provided. For every orchid there is also a colour photograph and map of its distribution. Contains minor revisions to the 2019 fourth edition.
