The Pulitzer Prizes are a series of awards honouring excellence in Journalism and the Arts. Each year, Columbia University awards six Pulitzer Prizes in Books. The winners are chosen by the Pulitzer Prize Board, which seeks to recognize excellence by eligible American writers across the categories of Fiction, History, Biography, Memoir/Autobiography, Non-Fiction and Verse.
