A coming of age story tackling entrenched patriarchy with a very subtle fantasy kick. Kalothia was bad-ass, quick-witted and refused to be dismissed just because she's a woman. This mystery, accompanied by a vicious betrayal and a hunky body guard, is a delight.
Written with enough detail to engage but not enough to weigh you down, it was a breeze to read.
