**This event will go ahead as planned on the Thursday September 22nd public holiday**
Join Boffins Books, the University of Western Australia, and the University Club of Western Australia for an evening with Dr Norman Swan on his new book So You Want to Live Younger Longer?
This event is part of the 2022 UWA Research Impact Series which showcases how research has contributed to change in our community.
Professor Anna Nowak, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at UWA and also a medical doctor, will be facilitating the event.
Deeply researched and written with his trademark wit, common sense and accessibility, Norman delivers the ultimate guide on what you can do at any age to stay young and healthy for as long as possible. With clear takeaway messages, Norman’s advice is backed up by science and evidence, and provides a fully rounded perspective on the factors that affect our longevity. Disentangling our 'Book of Life' – the genes we're born with and what we subject them to later on – Norman shows that in the search for youth, genes matter much less than you'd think for most of us. In other words, we can overwrite our personal Book of Life and this book will help you do it.
No matter what your age, So You Want to Live Younger Longer? gives you the information you need to make your own choices without wasting your time and money or even missing a nice dinner because you might be on a diet that is getting you nowhere.
Make a night of it!
By attending this event you have exclusive access to the University Club’s award-winning dining outlets on the day of the show. Whether it be for a casual drink and bite to eat in the Club Café and Bar or a more formal dining experience in the Club Restaurant, your ticket gives you an access-all-areas pass to the University Club.
