The Conversation’s book launch in Perth will bring together two of the country's top minds to discuss what the future looks like for planet Earth.
Dr (h.c) Bill Hare is a Climate Scientist with thirty years’ experience in the science, impacts and policy responses to climate change and stratospheric ozone depletion. In 2008 he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science by Murdoch University for his contributions to climate change science and policy. He is a founder and CEO of Climate Analytics, a non-profit research and policy organization based in Berlin (with branches in Lome, Togo and New York, USA and now Perth, Western Australia) established in 2008 to synthesize and advance scientific knowledge in the area of climate change and provide state-of-the-art solutions to global and national climate change policy challenges.
Based in Perth, Michael Hopkin joined The Conversation after several years as a science and environment journalist with The West Australian, Fairfax, and others. Before moving to Australia from his native UK, he was a senior news and features writer for Nature.
The Conversation Yearbook 2018 features a selection of fifty articles from Australia's top academic experts. It includes everything from the curious to the serious, with topical essays, commentary and analysis, as well as myth-busting and explainers answering questions sent in by inquistive kids of all ages.
