Matt Stone, one of Australia's brightest young chefs, is returning home to WA to launch his new book, The Natural Cook, and to cook you dinner!
Before dinner, you'll enjoy canapés and drinks in the pictureseque setting of Millbrook's kitchen garden, where Millbrook Winery Head Chef Guy Jeffreys will point out some of the produce you'll be eating and Matt will talk about The Natural Cook and what's brought him this far. Limited tickets are available for only this part of the evening – but we have a feeling you'll want to stay for the main course.
Using produce picked from the garden at Millbrook Winery, Matt will collaborate with Millbrook Head Chef Guy Jeffreys to serve up a delicious three-course meal in keeping with his maximum-taste, zero-waste philosophy.
Here's how it works: you can book a ticket either for the full event – Dinner and Garden Tour/Talk, or Garden Tour/Talk only. You can book a single or a double ticket which includes a copy of the book The Natural Cook.
Dinner and garden tour/talk | Garden tour/talk only | |
---|---|---|
Single | $155 with book | $55 with book |
Double | $275 with 1 book | $75 with 1 book |
Additional copies of the book will be availble for sale on the day at $39.99.
Booking enquiries should be directed to Katrina at Millbrook Winery on 08 9525 5648, or at functions@millbrookwinery.com.au.
Matt and Guy share the same origins having both worked together at Star Anise and Leeuwin Estate. Matt's ethical food philosophy has propelled him from these beginings to Pata Negra to renowned eco-restaurant Greenhouse, then to Melbourne's zero-waste cafe Brothl and now to Oakridge winery in Victoria. It's led to many appearances on Masterchef, Iron Chef and Recipes that Rock. And it's driven him to put his best ideas down in a new cookbook, The Natural Cook. It's all about cooking irresistible food without harming the planet – about opening your eyes to local and seasonal foods and putting them to use in the most delicious ways.
