The Australian economy is in its 25th year of consecutive growth, a remarkable achievement, weathering the Asian financial crisis, the dot com bust and even managed to be one of only two OECD countries to avoid going into recession during the global financial crisis.
However, after years as the economic powerhouse of the nation driving growth, WA now faces a number of challenges. Following the peak of mining construction and instability in commodity prices there have been many changes for WA businesses.
While the states exports in iron ore and LNG continue to grow, new free trade agreements and the emerging middle class in Asia are providing huge opportunities to export WA food produce and services and with this change we are now seeing new business investments coming into the state giving us opportunities for growth in existing and new industries.
