The Loeb Classical Library is the only existing series that, through original text and English translation, gives access to all that is important in Greek and Latin literature. The library includes a wide range of works, including epic and lyric poetry, tragedy and comedy, history, philosophy, and more. This is a series of bilingual editions of ancient Greek and Latin literature, with the original text on the left-hand page and a fairly literal translation on the facing page. There are now over 550 of the little green and red books in print (green for Greek texts and red for Latin texts).
