Brigitte Bardot: Intimate is the most intimate journey into the life of an icon, through the eyes of a friend who knew her best. This book unveils a remarkable discovery: a suitcase filled with never-before-published negatives, found in the attic of Jicky Dussart, renowned photographer and one of Bardot's closest friends.

The collection offers a rare, deeply personal portrait of one of France's most iconic actresses, capturing moments between her glamorous life in Saint-Tropez and the unforgettable films that helped define her legacy. These photographs also capture the actress far from the spotlight-at La Madrague, her home in Saint-Tropez, spending time with her friends, dancing, singing, and taking care of animals. In collaboration with Bardot herself, French writer Fabrice Gaignault crafts an unfiltered narrative that brings these evocative images to life, enriched by the actress's own words and reflections as she revisited the photographs by his side. Her voice, tender and free echoes through the pages, adding emotion and sincerity to this intimate portrait. AUTHOR: Ghislain Dussart (1924 1996), known as "Jicky," was a French photographer and painter who began his career as a photojournalist for Paris Match and France Soir. He met Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s, and their friendship turned into a close, lifelong bond. He became one of the few to photograph her both on film sets and in the intimacy of her home in Saint-Tropez. Fabrice Gaignault is a French journalist and writer. Chief editor (arts) of the cultural magazine Transfuge, he contributes to numerous publications, including F Le Figaro, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, Citizen K, and Lire Le Magazine Litteraire. He is the author of some fifteen books, most recently Un Livre, published by Arlea (untranslated).
