But the chance to strike against such powerful enemies will be fleeting, and Mia must become a weapon without equal. Before she seeks vengeance, she must seek training among the infamous assassins of the Red Church of Itreya. Inside the Church's halls, Mia must prove herself against the deadliest of opponents and survive the tutelage of murderers, liars and daemons at the heart of a murder cult. I obsess over this series.

Nevernight is bloody, gritty, sexy and hilarious. It’s a revenge story but oh my god, what a saga.

Set in a well thought out fantasy world that was reminiscent of Roman times, with a big dollop of magic and stabbing, we follow Mia.
Well, Mia and the narrator; the footnotes (our handy-dandy narrator) add such a layer of depth to the world as well as being downright hysterical.

I love this quote from Robin Hobb: “It’s like Hogwarts, but with violence and sex.” It's blunt, but it's accurate!

Kristoff's writing is addictive, you won't be the same afterwards.

Come talk to me after you've read it!
