A Palomino Blackwing Pencil is not just any pencil, it is an experience! The world's most famous pencil is made in Japan from genuine Incense Cedar and is available in three iconic models - the Blackwing, Blackwing 602 and Blackwing Pearl. Historically, the Blackwing Pencil was made by Eberhard-Faber up until the 1980s and it had been the favoured tool of many artists and writers, John Steinbeck, Frank Lloyd Wright and others among them.

The Blackwing and Blackwing 602 have now been brought back to life and are considered to be better than ever! Every Blackwing features a special graphite formulation lead which gives a writing or sketching experience that is surely the world's best. The Blackwing is incredibly smooth and velvety and it writes a dark black line of unmistakable quality. It is long, sleek and elegant in design with a beautiful gold coloured ferrule and rectangular eraser. The Blackwing model is excellent for sketching and the Blackwing 602 is made especially for writing. The Blackwing Pearl sits between these two models in terms of graphite density - it is the ideal all-rounder. To complement these incredible instruments, there are the everyday Palomino pencils from 6B to 2H and the colour pencil ranges carry on this quality in a beautiful range of watercolour and wax colours. Serious writers and sketchers insist on the Palomino pencils as their exclusive tools, trusting and benefiting from their unmatched quality.
