We all have problems, and this book is the universal and blaringly simple answer: a compassionate voice of reason. Even though I couldn’t relate to those who wrote to Strayed’s ‘Sugar’ column, their grievances never failed to destroy me. Strayed’s intelligence, experience and depth of understanding made me wiser and grateful for the advice. It’s the tiny, beautiful things that make us fall in love with a book, and you will be moved by this whether you want to be or not.
